National Atmospheric Deposition Program Long-term Monitoring Site
Objective: To determine the temporal and spatial distributions of wet deposition in the United States and establish regional deposition patterns and changes.
Methods: Aerochem Metric wet/dry precipitation collector and Belfort rain gage accumulate weekly samples. Collected water is analyzed for Ca, Mg, Na, K, Cl, SO4, NO3, pH and conductance by a contract laboratory. Rain gage data is considered the standard measure of precipitation at the Met exclosure.
Study Area: 27NE - LTER Met Exclosure.
