Effects of Different Sized Herbivores on Grasslands
Objective: To compare plant community dynamics and nutrient cycling in exclosures of different "mesh" sizes, i.e. excluding all herbivores, cattle and pronghorn and lagomorphs, and cattle and pronghorn. compare different sized herbivore effects at CPER to those at 5 other LTER sites.
Study Area: Four of the existing 6 sites where LTER built new exclosures will be chosen. Possibly 7C, 11a, 24c, and 19a exclosure sites.
