Effects of Long-term Grazing Treatments on Breeding Behavior of Songbirds

Objective: To estimate breeding populations of birds on standardized plots and BBS route covered during IBP studies. 

Methods: This will be accomplished by (1) spot-mapping, census breeding birds of five 20-A plots at approximately 8 weekly intervals, and (2) conducting a standard U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Breeding Bird Survey along the same 24.5-mile route covered in 1985 and earlier years.  

Study Area: Apr-June, 8 census of 5 plots in Section 23E. June-July- 24.5 mile breeding bird survey route.
