Researchers interested in working at the Shortgrass Steppe LTER
The SGS LTER project is a collaborative effort involving researchers from across the country and around the world. We welcome inquiries about additional research projects. Information about our current and past research projects can be found through the Research, Data, and Publications links on this web site. The website for the Central Plains Experimental Range (CPER) contains an extensive library of historical and current research and an on-line form to submit if you are interested in initiating a new experiment. You may read or download our Shortgrass Steppe LTER Information for Researchers and Visitors for a description of our facilities and procedures for their use.
Since the CPER is a federal property we must comply with the Homeland Security requirements for workers on the site. If you are NOT a US citizen, please read the information about foreign worker/visitor registration and contact us well before your anticipated arrival. Workers are defined as being on site for 10 or more days, either conducting research or touring the site. Requirements for non-US citizens visiting the site for less than 10 days differ from those for workers so please be clear about the length of your stay when you contact us.
Thank you very much for your cooperation.
