Site Improvement Information

The purpose of this page is to provide current information about the proposed improvements for facilties in the Shortgrass Steppe (SGS).

As many of you are aware the SGS LTER Field Station is in serious need of repair and/or replacement.  The original facilities were built to support the IBP Grassland Biome project of the late 60's and 70's and have come close to outliving their intended usage.

Colorado State University has committed to substantial support for proposals being submitted to the National Science Foundation to improve and expand the Shortgrass Steppe Field Station.

Follow any of the links below to find out more information about the SGS Field Station Improvement process.
